Using Behave7 for Prescribed Fire Planning
This webinar, hosted by the FLN in partnership with the Missoula Fire Sciences Laboratory,
focuses on the Surface & Crown, Surface & Mortality, and Surface & Contain modules for prescribed fire plan development. It is designed for RXB1s, RXB2s, trainees, and anyone who assists with burn plans. Please note that we will not cover the Surface module; if you need that overview, please attend the Introduction to Behave7 webinar.
Behave7 is a complete redesign and overhaul of BehavePlus v6. Behave7 was first released in May 2024 and is still in active development. It is one of the most commonly used fire behavior modeling systems in the U.S. More information and the software may be accessed here: https://www.frames.gov/behave/home.
