The work of the U.S. Forest Service includes everything from public lands management to expansion of urban tree cover to conservation education. This session will take a deeper dive into the agency’s structure and scope, the policy and financial drivers of its activities, and bigger changes and opportunities relevant to partnerships that have been spurred by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act. We’ll also have lots of time for participant questions!

Audience: While these webinars are designed for people who may not have engaged with the Forest Service or may be newer to working with the agency, we welcome any and all attendees. We imagine these sessions will have useful nuggets for just about anyone!
This series is hosted by the Watershed Research and Training Center, with support from Coalitions and Collaboratives. We are part of a group of nonprofits partnering with the U.S. Forest Service on a new Community Navigator initiative. The initiative aims to connect communities with funding and partnership opportunities for climate and wildfire resilience.
