Loup River TREX

March 16 - March 29

The Loup TREX is an intensive two-week, community-based live fire training event held in central Nebraska. This event draws in fire practitioners representing many agencies and organizations. Since the initial planning steps of the first Loup TREX back in 2009, the event has had participants come to train with from 19 states and 7 countries. In addition to the valuable training that the Loup TREX provides, it have also directly delivered 30,000 acres of good and meaningful fire to central Nebraska grasslands.

Everyone that attends the Loup TREX has a unique opportunity to learn, contribute, work, train and share together, regardless of their experience level. Participants will be exposed to different planning and leadership philosophies, new operation ideas and tactics, and a lot of fire.

Although participants are encouraged to stay for the full assignment, if that is not possible a 6 day minimum commitment is required. Full information can be found in the TREX announcement.
