AUS WTREX is a 12-day intensive training opportunity to enhance firefighting skills, with a specific focus on highlighting the role of Indigenous women in fire management and building a supportive international network.
This event is the 13th WTREX in the history of the program, and it is the first-ever WTREX in Australia. The program blends practical live training across diverse and unique ecosystems with expert-led discussions on topics such as the Incident Command System, traditional fire knowledge and women in leadership. Participants will gain valuable knowledge and experience, fostering collaboration and the exchange of skills and insights among diverse fire managers and practitioners from Australia and around the world.
