May is Wildfire Awareness Month – as fire practitioners, it’s an opportunity to reflect about our work and share our efforts to increase community wildfire preparedness. Across the country, Wildfire Awareness Month activities keep homes and communities safe by spreading knowledge and encouraging steps to prepare for wildfires. Recently, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) announced the twelve organizations selected to receive a $10,000 grant in support of Wildfire Community Preparedness Day (typically the first Saturday in May). Of those twelve organizations, eight are FAC Net members! We are proud to see our members engaging meaningfully with communities and receiving recognition and support for their work.

With an impressive array of resources available out there, this week, we’ve highlighted a few materials for wildfire preparation work at every level. Do you have wildfire awareness resources you lean on? Share them in the comments!
